Senior Showcase:

Professional Application of Communication Theory

This presentation took place during my final semester at the University of Central Missouri.  It was our final speech that each senior had to present for our capstone program in the Communication department.  We presented in March 2019 in front of the department, other communication majors, and the public which ended up being close to 70 people in a ballroom on campus.

We were assigned a partner or group at random and had to choose a theory we learned and reflected on in our years as a communication student.  My partner and I decided to present over the Uncertainty reduction Theory by Charles Burger.

Hunger Banquet Project:

Social Influence Course, Final Project

This piece of work is the paper that tied the semester project up in the course; Social Influence.  As a class, we put together a banquet for the Communication Department and the public.  The goal of this was to have everyone experience first hand at how people dealing with hunger in the world around us.

Each class member had a certain job that tied the entire program together and lead a successful night.  We had a great turn out and learned more ourselves while teaching others about these issues and how we can fix them together.

Social Media Audit:

Strategic Communication Audit for the American Cancer Society

This is a semester long project that I worked on while keeping in contact with The American Cancer Society.  I dissected their company, social media, websites, etc.  I became familiar with their benefits and programs.

I put together this audit throughout the semester and updated it constantly.  I would recommend ideas that would benefit them from information I learned throughout the course.
